Here at Raising Explorers we manage behaviour using clear, consistent and positive strategies. The centre’s rules are clearly displayed at every session, and are discussed regularly.
The rules are compiled by the children attending the centre at the beginning of the year which everyone agrees will support learning and facilitate a happy classroom environment.
In addition, a more comprehensive list of rules and values is compiled in the Behaviour Management Policy; a copy can be obtained upon request.
There is an expectation of high standards of personal behaviour and respect for others which we hope Parents will encourage and support.
Children’s achievements are rewarded in a number of ways. The children do find this practice very motivating. Rewards include stickers, certificates, praise and the opportunity to share their work with other staff and children at the centre.
7. Ensure they take home all of the centre’s letters and hand them to their parents
We say No to Bullying, whether verbal or physical; at Raising Explorers we have a no nonsense policy regarding it. We ask for all parents and pupils to help us by reporting immediately any incidents that may occur, so that we can deal with it firmly and fairly, including parents where necessary.
