At Raising Explorers, keeping our little adventurers safe is always mission number one! Over the past month, our team has leveled up their safety skills with hands-on first aid training sessions. Led by a fantastic paediatric specialist, these sessions were packed with expert tips and tricks to ensure we’re always ready to care for both kids and grown-ups. Because when it comes to safety, we don’t skip a beat!
The training sessions covered all the essentials to prepare our team for anything that might come their way. From patching up cuts and scrapes in the correct method to spotting illness symptoms, managing choking emergencies, and even performing life-saving CPR, there was no topic that was left undiscussed. The goal? To have every staff member walk away feeling confident, empowered, and ready to handle any situation with skill and care.
To fit around our team’s busy schedules, we ran multiple training sessions throughout the month, making sure everyone had the chance to take part. Keeping the groups small meant more hands-on practice, plenty of time for questions, and a chance for everyone to dive fully into the training. It was all about making it as engaging and effective as possible!
But learning doesn’t happen on an empty stomach! To keep the energy up, we made sure the training sessions had a warm and welcoming vibe, complete with plenty of tea and biscuits for those much-needed breaks. And when lunchtime rolled around, freshly made pizza delivered right to us added a delicious dose of joy to the day. Because staying fuelled makes tackling training so much easier!
By the end of each session, our staff left not only with full stomachs but also with full minds, equipped with the essential first aid knowledge that will help them protect and care for the children at Raising Explorers. This initiative is just one of the many ways we’re investing in our team to ensure that our childcare centre remains a safe and nurturing environment for every child who walks through our doors.
Hosting multiple sessions ensured that every member of our team received the training they need, reflecting our ongoing dedication to maintaining the highest standards of safety and care. We’re proud of our dedicated staff, who continue to go above and beyond to create a nurturing space where children can explore, learn, and grow with confidence.
