Raising Explorers are pleased to announce a partnership with Bradford University which will see support being given to GCSE students around the Bradford district.

The partnership will see Raising Explorers team up with Bradford University to give 50 GCSE students a greater chance of improving their current grade in key subjects, with Raising Explorers aiming to raise students’ grades by at least one level. Bradford University approached Raising Explorers after one of their representatives heard extremely positive things about Raising Explorers After school Club’s Educational Support Services.

Classes will be given to students on Maths, English and Science, as well as giving them exam preparation and one to one time to discus areas of improvement, all given by tutors who have plenty of experience in the field. The allocated session time will be distributed depending on the students needs.

Of the exciting new partnership, Education Manager Iroda, said: “I think this is an awesome milestone for Raising Explorers. The vision of Raising Explorers has always been to complement compulsory education by uplifting the educational achievements of local students in our After School Club and Learning Academy. For Bradford University to recognise us as their official partners in delivering these GCSE support classes has been a dream come true. We will be extending our Educationl division to enable us to deliver these additional support classes to GCSE students.

The funding provided by Bradford University is specifically for us to run additional GCSE classes targeting 15 and 16 year olds for GCSE support and education. It’s a critical time in their future prospects as we found from surveys that how students perform in GCSEs usually sets precedence for how they will perform in their higher education post GCSE. We want to do all we can to help the students set a precedence that acts as a base for exceptional future educational attainment”.

Raising Explorers is an Ofsted registered after-school club, who officially opened their doors in the Summer of 2012. Working with qualified tutors and childcare assistants, they primarily offer after school childcare and complementary education to children primarily aged between 5 and 15. Raising Explorers caters mainly but not exclusively for working families who are struggling between caring for their children and working. Raising Explorers currently have over 100 children attending on a weekly basis. Weekend childcare is a unique offering that Raising Explorers have now introduced for families who desperately need a provision to take care of their children on Weekends, be it for a few hours or a full day on the weekend.

Raising Explorers currently have a waiting list and parents wanting to register their children should contact them on 01274 493034
