The staff and pupils at Raising Explorers have been smiling with glee after celebrating an exellent Ofsted report. The education body visited our after school club back in July.

The inspection was carried out by Elaine McDonnell who was very impressed and commented “Raising Explorers is a very lovely and warm place to visit, the children are very happy and well entertained”. The club continues to do great in all areas.

Elaine also praised us on creating a culture in which all pupils are welcomed, cared for and nurtured both academically and in their personal development.

Raising Explorers caters for around 200 pupils with different abilities, needs and requirements and we believe in fully developing our pupils so that they make a positive contribution to their community, an ethos that is shared by all of our staff.

Visitors to the club often comment on the warm environment we have and parents see it is very much a nurturing place where the children are happy. Parents can rest assured their children are encouraged to hold positive attitudes to life, to learning and towards other people.

When we first opened our doors back in 2012 we were the only hub of it’s kind in the community, so over that time, we have built up a trusting relationship with parents in the area. We make them a part of the club’s community by including them in a lot of their children’s learning and through the many charity events that we hold.

At Raising Explorers, our mission is to provide all our children with academic and character-building skills, so they grow up to be well rounded confident individuals ready to positively contribute to a forever changing society and succeed as the next generation of leaders in their communities.
