As the winter season sparkles into life and we cosy up for December, we’ve been feeling extra reflective here at Raising Explorers. 2025 has truly been one for the books — packed with huge milestones, proud moments, laughter-filled days and memories we’ll treasure forever.

A Huge Milestone: We Opened Our Very Own Nursery!
One of the biggest and most exciting moments of 2025 was the opening of our Raising Explorers Nursery and honestly, our hearts are still full.
This year, we proudly expanded beyond supporting children aged 5–16 and opened our doors to the littlest explorers of all — our babies and toddlers. Since opening, our cosy nursery has been alive with adorable giggles, tiny footsteps, curious minds and lots of messy play!
Our little ones have been busy learning all about the seasons, discovering the world around them, and developing through play, exploration and nurturing care. Opening a nursery has been a huge milestone for us as a team, and we’re so excited to continue growing this space and watching our tiniest explorers thrive.
Award Wins We’ll Never Forget 🏆
This year, we were honoured to reclaim our title at the British Muslim Awards 2025, having previously won in 2023. Being recognised for our hard work means so much to us and reminds us that we’re on the right path in serving our community with care, passion and purpose.
And that’s not all… We proudly retained our title as Bradford’s Best Childcare & Tuition Centre for the NINTH year in a row! From 2017 right through to 2025, this achievement reflects the dedication of our incredible staff and the continued trust and support of our families.
To top off an already amazing year, Raising Explorers Afterschool Club was also awarded a Certificate of Excellence from the Yorkshire Prestige Awards — celebrating outstanding local businesses that go above and beyond. These awards belong to our whole community — our team, our children, and our amazing parents. Thank you for believing in us!
A Very Special (and Very Fast) New Friend 💙
This year, someone very fast and very blue joined the Raising Explorers family — Sonic the Hedgehog!
Sonic has been spotted zooming through our corridors, saying hello to both our big and little explorers and bringing instant smiles wherever he goes. We’re officially welcoming him into the Raising Explorers family — and trust us, this won’t be the last you see of him.
Holiday Clubs That Levelled Up Big Time
If there’s one thing we love, it’s a good holiday club — and 2025 did NOT disappoint! We levelled up our school holiday clubs with new activities, new local outings and even more fun. Every holiday club was an absolute blast, but our six-week Summer Holiday Club truly stole the spotlight.
We enjoyed our much-loved annual family trips to:

Families soaked up the sunshine, explored together and made memories that will last a lifetime.
We also hosted an unforgettable Summer Funday exclusively for our children — complete with homemade BBQ burgers, endless treats, bouncy castles, face painting and pure joy all around. It was loud, colourful, joyful and definitely one for the Raising Explorers history books!
13 Years of Raising Explorers 🎂
In October, we celebrated a HUGE milestone — 13 years of Raising Explorers! 🎉💛
To mark the occasion, we hosted a beautiful Anniversary Tea Party for our parents — the heart and foundation of everything we do.
Our staff transformed the centre with gorgeous décor, and guests enjoyed tea, cakes, desserts, samosa chaat and plenty of delicious snacks while chatting and connecting. A slideshow of moments from the past 13 years played in the background, making it a truly special, emotional and heartwarming evening. Thirteen years of growth, community and love — and we’re just getting started!
Dress-Ups, Learning & Lots Of Fun
2025 was packed with themed days that made learning extra exciting! From Pyjama Day (cosy vibes all round), to Children in Need, Red Nose Day, Anti-Bullying Week, and World Book Day, our explorers loved dressing up while learning important lessons along the way.
World Book Day especially brought magic to our doors — with princesses, Pokémon, knights, and storybook characters everywhere!
Ending The Year With Laughter: Human Appeal Comedy Show
December wrapped up with an absolute highlight — the Human Appeal Takeover Comedy Show, proudly sponsored by Raising Explorers.
The night was filled with laughter thanks to incredible comedians including Aatif Nawaz, Guz Khan and Tez Ilyas — and the energy in the room was unreal!
Our Raising Explorers stall was also a crowd favourite, with fresh mojitos and sweet treats keeping everyone refreshed It was a night full of laughter, generosity, community spirit and unforgettable moments.
Last but not Least…
We wrapped up 2025 with the cosiest vibes ever at our Winter School Holiday Club — and what a way to end the year!
Our explorers enjoyed exciting local outings including ice skating, where confidence grew with every glide (and penguin skating aid 🐧). Back at the centre, the fun continued with winter-themed crafts, festive games and lots of baking — filling the rooms with laughter and the smell of sweet treats.
From creative activities to making memories with friends, our Winter Holiday Club was all about fun, learning and ending the year on a high. The perfect festive finish to an unforgettable year at Raising Explorers.
