At Raising Explorers, we are committed to providing our children with support, care, and encouragement, while helping them take part in a variety of fun and enriching activities. We offer flexible after-school childcare, action-packed holiday clubs, and dedicated academic, homework, and sports support. Recently, we introduced a new activity called Creative Creations, inspired by the positive feedback we received from our holiday club.
Creative Creation
Knowing that one of the children’s favourite activities is cooking and baking, we incorporated this into our weekly after-school childcare, and it has quickly become one of our most loved sessions. Creative Creations takes place every Friday from 4:15pm to 5:45pm. This activity is not only enjoyable but also gives children the chance to get creative, learn new skills, and experience the excitement of cooking. Each session is led by a highly skilled and qualified professional baker, ensuring that children receive high-quality guidance while having a wonderful time.
Safe, Fun, and Hands-On
All our baking sessions are carefully supervised by our experienced staff, who support and assist the children throughout the entire activity. The team ensures that we maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic environment always. During these sessions, our main aim is to help children understand the basics of food hygiene—how to stay safe in the kitchen, work cleanly, and follow step-by-step methods and recipes. At the same time, we want our children to have a brilliant experience, build confidence and independence, and learn how to work together with others—an essential life skill.
Most importantly, we aim to ensure that every child enjoys a fantastic, memorable, and positive experience during their time at Raising Explorers.
Sweet Treats, Big Smiles
So far, the children have made Rice Krispy buns, Marshmallow Cake Pops, Rocky Roads, Jelly Cups, Chocolate Fudge, Cheesecakes, and Oreo Cake Pops. They have thoroughly enjoyed mixing, decorating, experimenting with flavours, and adding their own creative twists to each recipe. Every session gives them an opportunity to be hands-on, try new techniques, and enjoy the fun of making—and eating—their delicious creations.
Joy, Laughter, and Little Chefs
Creative Creations has quickly become one of the most cherished activities at our centre. Each week, the children are excited to take part and look forward to discovering what new treat they’ll be making next. The excitement begins the moment they take their seats and put on their aprons. The room fills with energy as they mix, stir, decorate, and taste their amazing creations. Not only do they enjoy the delicious treats they make, but they also take pride in learning new skills, trying new things, and expressing their creativity. Creative Creations has truly become the highlight of their week, bringing joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments to everyone involved.
