At Raising Explorers, we offer a wide range of services including after-school and wraparound childcare, holiday club fun, academic and homework support, as well as specialised sports coaching for children aged 5-15.
Childcare
At Raising Explorers Listerhills, our after-school program is designed to offer a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment where children can grow, explore, and have fun. From 3pm till 7:30pm kids enjoy a variety of activities that inspire creativity, build confidence, and encourage social interaction.
Children can dive into a plethora of activities such as arts and crafts, imaginative play, drama, reading, baking, sports, gaming and much more.
Around 4 pm, children are served a nutritious, warm meal, giving them the energy to fully enjoy their afternoon of fun while keeping hunger—and hangry moments—at bay.
Ready, Steady, Bake!
We have now incorporated regular baking sessions into our program, giving children hands-on experiences that are as delicious as they are educational!
All baking sessions are fun, safe, and delicious, carefully supervised by our experienced staff to ensure a hygienic and secure environment. Children follow recipes, explore new techniques, and, of course, taste their creations at the end—making learning both enjoyable and rewarding.
Gaming Fun
Even after a lively day of play, children can relax in our comfortable TV lounge and games room, giving them the chance to unwind. Our friendly, experienced staff ensure every child feels supported and included, creating a nurturing environment that feels like a second home. Age-appropriate games and activities make sure that explorers are playing, learning, and making friends in a fun and interactive way.
Homework Support
Our program now includes revamped homework support, led by a qualified teacher. Children are guided to complete their homework in a fun and engaging way—because learning doesn’t have to be boring. We ensure each child gets the support they need while keeping the atmosphere lively and encouraging.
Homework support is available for both Primary and Secondary students, giving them the confidence and structure to succeed in their studies
Academic Tuition
We have Tuition sessions to support our primary and secondary school explorers. Our fully qualified and experienced tutors provide tailored guidance to help students strengthen understanding, improve grades, and build confidence in a supportive and engaging environment. Whether it’s tackling tricky topics, preparing for exams, or boosting overall academic performance, our tuition sessions make learning structured, effective, and stress-free.
Madrassah
At Raising Explorers, we are committed to providing children with a strong foundation in Islamic education in a fun, nurturing, and supportive environment. Our Madrassah classes, led by highly qualified female and male teachers, teach Qaida and Qur’an, and are tailored to your child’s age and learning style to ensure effective and engaging learning. Our program focuses on:

Sports Fun
For little sports enthusiasts, we offer sessions led by our Two FA–qualified coaches, on our very own Astroturf, alongside cricket, badminton, and fun fitness activities. Every game and exercise is designed to be engaging, active, and enjoyable, helping children stay energetic while learning teamwork and coordination. All of this fun can be enjoyed in our state of the art Astro turf facility that is adjacent to the building, making it safe and enjoyable for all.
